New Electronic Giving Options

With financial transactions by paper (cash and checks) continuing to decrease in the United States and transactions by electronic means (debit and credit cards, and electronic funds transfers) becoming more common and preferred, Northwest Hills Community Church is expanding its options for receiving tithes, offerings and ministry contributions, as well as payments for church-sponsored events.

 

Contributions

Previous options for contributors to Northwest Hills included placing contributions in the Offering Box in the church Lobby, mailing or hand delivering contributions to the church office, and using internet banking services to have contributions sent to the church. All of these options will remain available to contributors to Northwest Hills Community Church.

Beginning August 1, 2009, contributors will also have the option of using their debit or credit card to contribute to the Northwest Hills ministry. To access this option, Click Here.

Please Note: It is unwise and contrary to Biblical principles of financial stewardship to contribute by credit card if such giving results in payment of interest or debt. We strongly discourage such credit card contributions. Also, please be aware that, when giving by credit card, as much as 3% of your contribution may go to the credit card company for payment of their services. Depending on circumstances, it may be wiser to give by other methods of contributing than by using a credit card.

 

Payments

The option to make payments for church-sponsored events (camps, retreats, group activities, etc) by debit card or credit card is not yet available, but will be soon. An announcement will be made when that option is available for use.

 

Security

Northwest Hills Community Church has taken precautions to ensure that debit card and credit card transactions are secure. Northwest Hills does not receive or store any sensitive data on its website. All sensitive and secure data is received and processed by one of the oldest and most respected electronic payment processing companies using 128 bit encryption.
