Interested in sustainable and healthy living to benefit you and our beautiful planet? This focus group will discuss practical tips, ranging from easy to difficult to implement, in many areas. It will cover choices related to lifestyle, transportation, dietary habits, the purchasing of goods – all with the end goal of learning to be good stewards of God’s creation.
The group will meet via Zoom until the pandemic allows us to meet in person. Socially distanced field trips and cooking/tasting sessions may occur as allowed by the pandemic as well. For more information or to request to join the group, see the group page.
Praying for Your Prodigal
If you are the parent or loved one of a prodigal, you are not alone. Statistics show that between 80-90% of children who have grown up in the church are leaving the church by age 18. It’s time to do battle for our prodigals, and that battle takes place on our knees. If you are interested in joining in prayer, we will be meeting once a month and using the book "Prayers for Prodigals" as a guide. Come any time you are available. We meet the third Sunday of every month in D2 from 6-7pm. For more information please contact Barb Hoffman at email@example.com or 541-619-3557.
Are you a caregiver and would like to meet with others doing the same? Come to this group to be encouraged, to encourage others and to pray for one another. Contact Mel Glubrecht at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
A place for women anywhere along the adoption or foster care journey to connect. Together we celebrate the blessings God brings and encourage each other through the struggles. We meet the 3rd Sunday of every month at 2:30pm. For more information and meeting location, email Natalie at email@example.com.
Tuesday Morning Breakfast Study
On Tuesdays, 6:30am to 7:45am, men come together in room D2 for food, fellowship and prayer. In our discussions, we alternate between a book of the Bible and a Christ-centered book one of us has been encouraged by. All men are welcome to join us. You can just show up, or if interested in more information, contact Doug Stewart at firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-760-0011.
“We’re a group of men who meet weekly for lunch and fellowship. We pick a book to study together, then read a chapter each week and discuss it while we eat. Examples of recent books – “Galatians For You” by Timothy Keller, “Happiness” by Randy Alcorn, “Futureville” by Skye Jethani, and “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. (Once we read a Beth Moore book, but none of us men will admit that.) Oh, and occasionally we meet to see the latest Superhero movie.” Join us on Tuesdays, 11:30am-12:30pm, via Zoom. Interested? Contact Richard Clark.
“We gather every Friday morning from 6-7:10am to learn how to be apprentices of Jesus. We study the Bible and other books that help us in our pursuit of obedience to a life following Jesus. We get real – real quick. If you want to join the varsity of accountability and prayer this is a group for you! We meet off campus in a home.” Contact Joe Moses at 541-226-6907.
