VAL AND WAFFLE WILL BE VISITING NWH ON OCTOBER 27!!

Waffle and Val work as missionaries in Uganda with the Karamojong and Teso people, together with a local Christian NGO called CLIDE Consultancy (Community Livestock Integrated Development Consultancy).

For over 20 years, Dr. Val has been making a transformative impact in Uganda, with Waffle joining her mission in 2013. Their unique skills have opened doors to build deep relationships within tribal communities, offering them not only practical support but also the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Today, their focus is on guiding and discipling those who have embraced Christ, helping faith take root in places long resistant to the Gospel.

As a veterinary missionary, Dr. Val’s work is crucial to the Teso, a tribe of farmers and cattle keepers, and the Karamojong, a nomadic warrior tribe. Through her expertise in animal care, she's developed trust, enabling her to share the love of Christ in ways that bring lasting spiritual and physical peace. After decades of resistance, these communities are now beginning to embrace the hope of the Gospel.

Waffle, with a background in Christian Adventure Ministries, brings his passion for mentoring and discipleship to Uganda. He works alongside pastors and new believers in the Karamojong region, offering not only spiritual guidance but also practical support, from construction projects to agricultural initiatives.

Together, Val and Waffle are advisors to CLIDE Consultancy, an organization Val co-founded in Uganda. Their ministry is as diverse as it is impactful—covering everything from livestock health training and micro-enterprise development to peacebuilding initiatives and support for widows and orphans. Through these efforts, they are spreading hope and transforming lives far beyond the borders of our local church community.
