NWH INTERNSHIP

A PROGRAM ALL ABOUT PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION OF CHURCH LEADERS AND MEMBERS AS THEY LOVE JESUS, LIVE LIKE JESUS, AND MAKE HIM KNOWN!

OUR Vision

Love Jesus. Live Like Jesus. Make Him Known.
Living like Jesus means serving and being in community. Jesus invited many, but only a few followed closely. This nine-month journey focuses on spiritual growth, serving in the church, and walking alongside other believers through the following:

  • Hands-on ministry training (~12 hrs/week)

  • Bible teaching & leadership development

  • Equipping leaders ages 18-25 to serve & make Jesus known, while providing free housing!

  • Duration: Internship runs from September to mid June (9 months) with the potential to extend into Summer or multiple years

  • We encourage all interns to either work part-time or take courses in higher education during their time as an intern - this helps establish a weekly rhythm and life habits for future success!

This internship prepares and sends out leaders for lifelong faith and ministry. (For more details, click on the specific ministry track you are interested in below!)

MULTIPLE TRACKS TO CHOOSE FROM

  • WORSHIP MINISTRY

Learn what it means to truly lead God’s people in singing His praises. You will learn how to illuminate a stage, fill a room with sound, lead volunteers, read chord sheets and understand basic music theory, focus a congregation’s attention toward Christ, dwell richly on His words, and articulate those words from a Sunday morning platform.

You’ll learn to be as invisible as you must be, and as present as you can be, all for the praise and glory of the King.

  • YOUTH MINISTRY

Leading Gen-Z to believe, belong, be trained, and be strong is not an easy task, but it IS worth every second invested. Be a part of an energetic environment designed to help you grow in relationship and leadership by serving others. We encourage and equip youth interns to work hard, play hard, and live life with students!

  • CHILDRENS MINISTRY

Talk about hands-on experience! From large-group and small-group settings, discipling kids from preschool through upper-elementary, and planning outreach events. You will learn to lead a volunteer team as you help to plan training events and fellowship events for the Children’s Ministry Team. Most importantly, you’ll be able to deepen your faith with God as you stretch yourself in service and rely on Him to work through you!

  • PASTORAL RESIDENCY

The pastoral residency is aimed at equipping people who want to go into full-time pastoral ministry. As a resident, you will get a front-row seat to see what leading a church is all about. You will develop your pastoral leadership through experiences in teaching, preaching, leading, and shepherding. An ideal candidate will either have a theological education or be in the process of earning one.
